Thoughtful planning. Meaningful choices.
College Planning
College preparation doesn't begin with applications. It begins with the choices students make throughout high school: the courses they take, the interests they develop, the work they create, and the habits they build over time.
Our approach
College planning is a journey, not a checklist.
There isn't one perfect path to college. Some students have a clear direction early on. Others discover new interests as they grow. Both are part of the process. Rather than rushing toward senior year, we encourage students to build a strong foundation, explore thoughtfully, and make decisions that reflect who they are becoming.
Planning areas
Good planning begins long before senior year.
Our role is to help students make meaningful choices with confidence and purpose as their academic story, interests, writing, portfolio work, and application materials develop over time.
Academic Planning
Every course adds another piece to a student's academic story. Students receive guidance on a balanced plan that supports graduation requirements while preparing them for advanced coursework, specialized programs, or selective college admissions.
Building a College List
Choosing a college isn't about rankings alone. Students are encouraged to consider academic programs, campus culture, learning environment, location, and long-term goals so their list feels realistic and exciting.
Essays
The strongest essays sound like the student. Students are guided through reflection, drafting, revision, and thoughtful storytelling until their writing feels authentic and confident.
Portfolio Development
For students pursuing art, design, architecture, media, or other creative fields, portfolio work reflects curiosity, persistence, creative thinking, and personal growth. Guidance begins early so the portfolio is not rushed at the last minute.
Scholarships
Preparation creates more opportunities. Families receive help understanding important timelines, organizing application materials, and identifying opportunities that match each student's background and achievements.
Application Timeline
College applications involve many moving pieces, but they do not have to feel overwhelming. Students learn to plan ahead, stay organized, and approach application season with greater confidence and less stress.
Four years of growth
Every year has a purpose.
Grade 9
Build strong study habits, explore new interests, and establish a solid academic foundation.
Grade 10
Develop academic direction, become more involved outside the classroom, and begin thinking about future possibilities.
Grade 11
Challenge yourself with advanced coursework, prepare for college admissions, and begin building applications with intention.
Grade 12
Complete applications, finalize portfolios and essays, apply for scholarships, and prepare for the next chapter with confidence.
The big picture
College is one milestone, not the finish line.
The goal of college planning isn't simply to gain admission to a university. It is to help students discover their strengths, develop good judgment, and make thoughtful decisions about what comes next. Wherever their journey leads, we want our students to leave high school prepared for college and for the opportunities that follow.
